We provided a set of Hyvä-ready extensions to integrate smoothly with the retailer's existing setup and meet the specific needs of their Magento 2 e-commerce platform.

Social Login Customization

A robust Social Login setup was essential for the retailer, as most of their customers preferred a quick login via Google or Facebook. Amasty’s Social Login module offered an intuitive solution that integrated smoothly with their Magento 2 site. Because the project used a third-party checkout and Hyvä Theme fallback, custom compatibility logic was implemented to ensure full functionality.

As a result, more than 50% of customers began using social login daily, with Google being the most common method. The solution met all business requirements and delivered a streamlined, user-friendly sign-in experience.

Google reCaptcha Integration

The project required strong protection against spam and malicious activity, and the retailer wanted to upgrade from reCAPTCHA V2 (visible) to V3 Invisible for a smoother user experience. A frictionless path from Home → PLP → PDP → Cart → Checkout was essential, and our analysis showed that the visible reCAPTCHA checkbox added unnecessary friction.

Implementing reCAPTCHA V3 Invisible through Amasty’s module removed this obstacle and delivered a seamless frontend experience. The improved usability also led to increased sign-ups during marketing campaigns and resolved a key pain point for the retailer.

Reward Points for Marketing Campaigns

The client used Reward Points to encourage larger cart sizes by offering rewards for purchases above a certain value on the Cart and product pages. Their complex rewards structure required customer group segmentation, which the open-source edition didn’t support.

Custom compatibility was developed for the third-party checkout with Hyvä theme fallback. Amasty’s Rewards module was customized to meet the client’s needs, integrating seamlessly and enabling flexible reward rules for cart and order values.

This solution allowed the business to run complex marketing campaigns with granular control over reward rules.

Infinite Scroll for Category Pages

The client, operating in the clothing industry, highly prioritized a seamless user experience. Their previous setup with a bulky third-party theme and unoptimized modules led them to adopt the Hyvä Theme for their multi-store eCommerce site.

One of the key improvements they sought was infinite scroll for Category Pages, utilizing AJAX to dynamically load additional items without page reloads. Features like pagination in the URL and a "back to top" button were also added to enhance usability.

Improved Layered Navigation

Convenient browsing without interruptions was a top priority for the client. To achieve this, the layered navigation on the category and catalog search pages needed to update results dynamically without refreshing the page.

The original AJAX-based navigation was slow, prompting the team to seek a more robust solution during the Hyvä theme implementation. Amasty’s Improved Layered Navigation addressed this issue by providing fast, SEO-friendly URLs and compatibility with ElasticSearch and Improved Sorting. This integration delivered a smoother and more streamlined experience for customers.

AJAX Shopping Cart and Quick View

The client needed a solution to display configurable product options on category pages without page refreshes, ensuring a seamless user experience. The default Hyvä theme caused page reloads, requiring a more efficient approach.

The business sought a quick way for customers to view product options and add items to the cart directly from the category page. Amasty’s AJAX Shopping Cart, combined with Quick View, addressed both needs in one module, enhancing usability and boosting conversions.

Advanced Product Sorting Options

The client required advanced sorting options, including separate price sorters (Low to High and High to Low), Best Sellers, and sorting by Highest Discounts, along with a more intuitive admin interface. The default sorting functionality in Magento 2 and the Hyvä theme didn’t meet these needs, so a better solution was sought.

The module also needed to support GraphQL for future mobile app scalability. It integrated seamlessly, utilizing Elasticsearch for efficient sorting, and was compatible with Mage OS, making it a perfect fit for small to medium-sized businesses. This solution enabled the required features for marketing campaigns and ensured a smooth go-live.
